    Councillor Michele McKenzie – Deputy Mayor

    Councillor McKenzie is the Deputy Mayor and Greens representative for Wangal/Rozelle-Lilyfield Ward. On Council Michele works hard to stop over development and to fight for workers conditions and rights.  Michele is also the Vice-President of Friends of Callan Park and worked as an activist to save Callan Park from developers.  Michele is still working to ensure that Callan Park is saved from “demolition by the government’s deliberate neglect.”

    Councillor Jamie Parker

    Councillor Parker is a Member of the NSW Parliament in the Seat of Balmain and the longest serving Greens Councillor. Jamie is also a former Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Leichhardt Council. Jamie represents Birrabirragal/Balmain Ward and fought hard against over development in the Balmain/Rozelle peninsular.  Jamie has been active in many campaigns including the campaigns to save Bells’ Foreshore and Callan Park.

    Councillor Cassi Plate

    Councillor Plate represents Gadigal/Annandale-Leichhardt Ward.   A newly-elected Councillor, Cassi is working for public transport instead of the M4 East Tollway, Callan Park and the development of a cultural plan for the municipality.

    Councillor Rochelle Porteous – Mayor

    Councillor Porteous is Leichhardt Council’s Mayor and represents Eora/Leichhardt-Lilyfield Ward. Rochelle was also the Greens candidate for the state seat of Balmain in the 2007 state election.  Rochelle supports Balmain for Refugees and she is currently working o­n the campaign to save Callan Park, and to stop the M4 East motorway extension.
